Well, I just thought of an idea to make a mission for an entire group (around 40 players will be needed). The main objective would be to take back a town held by insurgents. There will be lots of resistance, AA, and even some armor. First, around 4 am in-game, there will be coordinated air strikes to take out the most of AA. Afterwards, friendly forces will move in using helicopters (fast roping mainly), and APC's will follow closely behind. There will be lots of urban combat, and as a secondary objective, we could add that some HVT needs to be captured or taken out. This is just an idea, and if anyone wants to realize it, I believe it would be a lot of fun (I'm not a big friend of arma editor, sadly). Would love to hear any feedback.

So like Operation Irene (Black Hawk Down) but with the proper support and less people. Sounds like a hell of a good mission. The only problem is we don't have 40 people... we have about 20 active members. We are going to start open recruitment soon so we could play the mission either with AI or wait for about 2-3 months of recruitment

Glad someone liked it. If there are not enough people, the players can take a role of a separate regiment, and the rest will be AI. Or it will be harder (and maybe funner) to play out numbered. Very Happy

I just discovered a wonderful thing called 9P117 SCUD-B delivery system while playing with OA's editor. This opens up a ton of new awesome possibilities. And even though the rocket is purely for cinematic purposes, there are ways you can make a big explosion which will come from the rocket. With these things, lots of new scenarios can be realized...
